My time has come
To go
As a new era
Has come to the fore
Where machines speak often
To us and to each other
While people stay broken, and
Apart from each other

Touch is now a surface feature
For devices on the go
Not a deep human experience
As it was before
The age of machines is here
That think for us and talk
We will become them for sure
Huma-chine, round the clock

Beauty is an image on the screen
Curtains drawn, ACs on
Seasons come and seasons go
With smart temperature control
All scents and smells, aerosols galore
Work streamed in like never before
Alexa checked in askin’- Has loneliness crept in?
Stay awhile, I said, and we can be chattin’
