Tears of the dark night
Settled on a bed of grass
Lying in wait
For the morning sun
On seeing first light
Every drop sparkled bright
Warm gaze and scorching kisses later
No more tears in sight.
Another time clouds hovered over parched earth And ‘twas the turn of rain To restore lost connection again Huddled in puddles While daytime grey gave cover Soon, sun’s play resumed So did tears from the dark night.
