They lost a plane
The search was in vain
No answers till date
Just stories we create
Of passengers’ fate.
It is sad, they said
Take some money instead
There is no assurance
Of a higher insurance
So, be good riddance.

The truth we sought
Thinking it couldn’t be bought
To courts, we took our case
After millions of days
Just a wild goose chase.
It is sad, they said
Take some money instead
There is no assurance
Of a higher insurance
A tuppence is your comeuppance.

Questions from left and right
Not settling – was it right?
No peace, no pence
The search – was it pretense? (And)
Greed, while feigning innocence?

It is sad, they said
Take some money instead
There is no assurance
Of a higher insurance
Please sir, have the good sense…

Piling hurt upon loss
Flung casually across
We do this to our own
For reasons unknown
Opening wounds that lay sewn.

It is sad, they said
Take some money instead
There is no assurance
Of a higher insurance
Aah! The tests of forbearance.
